Gin no Mikazuki, a "special cultivation rice": This refers to rice cultivated according to the "Guidelines for Labeling Special Cultivation Agricultural Products" of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Specifically, rice labeled as "special cultivation rice" is produced by reducing the frequency of chemical synthetic pesticide use by 50% or more and the nitrogen component of chemical fertilizers by 50% or more compared to conventional cultivation methods.
