This Zojirushi electric rice cooker offers the simplest way to steam rice for dinner. It can cook up to 3 cups of rice and features a glass lid with a stay-cool knob. The removable pan is non-stick, and the footed pot has stay-cool handles for safe transportation. A plastic spatula for serving and a measuring cup are included.
The rice cooker measures 9-1/4" in diameter and 7-3/4" in height. The serving spatula is 7-3/4" long and 2-3/4" wide, while the measuring cup is 3" in diameter and 2-1/4" in height, with a 6-ounce capacity.
Busy cooks appreciate the convenience of rice cookers, and this one can cook up to 3 cups of dry rice, both white and brown, and keep it warm for up to five hours. The glass lid allows monitoring of the cooking process, and the instructions and cooking chart provide all the necessary information.
The cooker's operation is remarkably simple: just push a switch to start, and it will turn off the switch and light when cooking is complete, automatically entering the keep-warm mode. The stay-cool handles on the sides make it easy to move the cooker. For cleaning, only plastic scrubbers and mild detergent should be used.
The Zojirushi rice cooker comes with a plastic measuring cup that has a capacity of 6 ounces, or about 3/4 of a U.S. measuring cup. The capacity of the rice cooker is counted in these 6-ounce cups of uncooked short-grain white rice. One 6-ounce cup of raw rice makes about 2 to 3, 6-ounce cups of cooked rice.
